Boys Swimming:  Warriors Capture Ottawa Pentathlon Championship

The SHS Boys’ Swimming team raced to a first place finish at the Ottawa Pentathlon Saturday.  The Golden Warriors accumulated 15,764 poits, the host Pirates were a distant second with 13,872.  Morrison finished third (13,491) and Morris fourth (12,512).

Individually, Sterling’s pentathlon team of Keanu Interone, Michael Schneiderbauer, Michael Fassler and Keaton Dir also managed to walk away with 1st(Interone), 2nd(Schneiderbauer), 3rd(Dir) and 4th(Fassler) place finishes.

The pentathlon swim meet is calculated differently than other swim meets. Each swimmer’s time is converted into points, and then at the end of the meet the swimmer(s) with the most points win.

Next Up: The Golden Warriors compete in a triangular with DeKalb and Morris Wednesday (1/25) in Morris.  Action begins at 5:00 p.m.
