Girls Bowling:  Sivits, Warriors Blast Sycamore

Senior Katie Sivits rolled a 643 series to lead the SHS Girls’ Bowling team to a 3367-2677 win over Sycamore Thursday at Blackhawk Lanes in Sterling.  Sterling won all three games and swept all 14 NIB-12 conference points.  With 108 out of a possible 126 conference points, the Golden Warriors clinched the regular season NIB-12 title.

Sivits’ night included games of 199, 204 and 240.  Destinee Howard complemented Sivits’ effort with a 601 series, with games of 221, 199 and 181.

The Golden Warriors are now 8-2 with two non-conference duel meets left – against Rock Island and United Township.
