Girls Track:  Warriors Bow Out at State


Sterling’s state track and field meet qualifiers did not make it to the second day of competition at Eastern Illinois in Charleston.

The Golden Warriors 4x800 relay team of Emily Crossley, Charli Wike, Mercedes Sanchez and Sarah Wolber clocked in with a time of 9:59.56 – faster than their sectional time of 10:00.82, but not good enough to qualify for finals.

Wolber also ran as an individual in the 400.  Her time of 1:00.31 did not earn her a spot in the finals.
