Girls Track:  Schneiderbauer, Warriors Down Ottawa

Senior Sara Schneiderbauer won three events and established a personal-best effort in four in leading the SHS Girls’ Track and Field team to an 81-56 duel meet win over Ottawa Monday at DuWayne Dietz Track.

Schneiderbauer won the long jump (16-6.5), the triple jump (33-11) and 300 hurdles (49.19) – new personal bests in all three.  Her time of 16.95 in the 100 hurdles was also a personal best, placing second in the event, behind only teammate Krista Loos, who clocked it with a 16.60.

Sterling also received individual first place efforts from Lauren Vos (high jump, 5-0), Cori Delapo (discus, 92-0) and Emily Crossley (800, 2:31.32).

The Warriors also captured the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays.

Next Up:  The Warriors compete in the Sterling Night Relays Friday (4/29) at DuWayne Dietz Track.  Field events begin at 4:00, with action on the track getting underway just after 6:00 p.m.
