Girls Track:  Warriors Second in Indoor Triangular

The SHS Girls’ Track and Field team hosted Moline and Alleman in an indoor triangular Tuesday at Westwood.  Moline came away the winner with 72 points, followed by the Golden Warriors with 52 and Alleman with 18.

Sophomores Payton Cater and Krista Loos were double individual winners for the Warriors.  Loos captured both the high jump (5-2) and the 55 hurdles (8.90).  Cater won the 55 (7.40) and 200 (27.30) meter dashes.

Other individual winners for Sterling were Sarah Schneiderbauer in the long jump (15-4.5) and Emily Crossley in the 400 (1:06.30).  The Warriors also won the 4x200 relay.

Next Up:  Sterling hosts the Northern Illinois Big-12 Indoor Meet Saturday (3/19) at Westwood.  Action begins at 9:00 a.m.
