Boys Track:  Warriors Win Dixon Relays

The SHS Boys Track and Field team captured the championship of the Dixon Relays Saturday.  The Golden Warriors finished first or second in 11 of the 19 events and scored 71 points.  Oregon was second with 59, followed by Rochelle (48) and Dixon (40).

Sterling took top honors in six events:
4x800 relay (8:26.82)
varsity 4x200 relay (1:32.20)
pole vault (36-6)
distance medley (11:31.93)
1600 medley (3:53.08)
4x400 relay (3:31.04)

Sterling took second place in the 3200 team run, frosh-soph 4x100, 440 hurdle relay, 300 hurdle relay and the frosh-soph 4x200 relay.

Next Up:  The Warriors host Ottawa for a NIB-12 dual Monday (4/25) at DuWayne Dietz Track.  Action begins at 3:00 p.m. The Sterling Night Relays are Friday.
