Boys Track:  Warriors Host Gold Medal Indoor Meet

The SHS Boys’ Track and Field team opened the indoor portion of its season Saturday by hosting the annual Gold Medal Meet at Westwood.

No team scores were kept, but the Golden Warriors did turn in some notable individual performances.  Junior Aaron Brenner was Sterling’s lone first place individual, as he captured top honors in the 400 meter dash (55.53).

Senior Jacob Landis (4:44.70) and junior Dylan Harkness (4:45.47) went 2-3 in the 1600 meter run.  Senior Corey Hartz finished second in the 55 meter dash (6.79).

Next Up:  The Golden Warriors host the First Chance Indoor Invitational Saturday (3/12) at Westwood.  Action begins at 9:00 a.m.
