Girls Tennis:  Warriors Claim Title at UT Quad

The SHS Girls’ Tennis team won three of the four divisions in claiming the championship at the United Township Quadrangular Saturday.  Sophomores Johanna Jahns and Hannah Jakobs cruised to the titles at #1 and #2 singles respectively, while the #2 doubles team of Sarah Schneiderbauer and Brooke Hendricks battled its way to the top spot in its division.

Jahns and Jakobs did not drop a set in three matches each.  Jakobs did not drop a game, winning her three matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Schneiderbauer and Hendricks went 3-0 with one of their matches going to a third set tie-breaker, which they won 10-8.

Sterling’s #1 doubles team of Jenn Vasquez and Paige Goshert placed third with a record of 1-2.
