Girls Cross Country: Warriors Fall to Geneseo

The SHS Girls’ Cross Country team fell to Geneseo 20-37 in the annual grass relay season opener for both teams Tuesday at Hoover Park in Sterling.

Junior Carrie McPherson led the way for Sterling in a time of 20:49. She was followed by freshman Leah Megli with a time of 21:34.

In the grass relay format, each team enters a series of two-runner squads that run a six-mile relay.  Each individual runner runs three miles in one-mile increments. See Below for complete Sterling results.
