Boys Golf:  Warriors Improve to 6-0

The SHS Boys’ Golf team remained perfect in dual meets at 6-0 by knocking off Rock Falls and Alleman Monday at Lake View Golf Course in Sterling, Rock Falls’ home course.   The Golden Warriors shot a season-low 147 to easily outdistance Alleman with  a 162 and Rock Falls with a 186

Anthony Yarbrough shot a sizzling one-under-par 34 to lead the Warrior charge.  He was closely followed by teammates Nathan and Andrew Blackburn, who shot 35 and 38 respectively.  Sterling’s top three scores were better than both Alleman and Rock Falls’ top players.

Sterling also received a 40 from Drake Mettott, a 43 from Sawyer Schrader, and a 46 from Patrick Petrosky.

On the JV level, Sterling finished a close second to Alleman.  Alleman came in at 190, the Warriors at 192.  Rock Falls was third at 224.  Brandon Schreiner paced Sterling with a 45.  Trevor Hall, Zach Rehmert and Cody Hansen all shot 49s for Sterling.  Austin Cedro had a 51 and Trevor Sensor a 55.
