Sterling’s pressure defense forced 26 turnovers for the game, including 19 in the first half, as the Golden Warriors built a 26-12 halftime lead. The lead would grow as large as 18 in the second half at 38-20. Sterling (20-8, 9-1) won the game despite shooting just 33% from the field. Lauren Hernandez paced Sterling with 14 points. Angie Minnick was next with nine points and 10 rebounds. Aleena Hammelman had yet another solid all-around game with eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and five steals. Nicole Renner and Stephanie Echebarria rounded out the scoring with seven and five points respectively.
