Boys Basketball:  Warriors Drop Regional Opener

The SHS Boys Basketball team saw its season come to an end with 56-38 loss to Geneseo in the quarterfinals of the Geneseo 3A regional Tuesday.

Sterling closed the first half with a 7-0 run and scored the first basket of the third quarter to take a 22-15 lead.  Geneseo responded with 23-2 run to take control, and complete a three game sweep of the Golden Warriors this season.

Drew Pace led Sterling with 17 points.

The Warriors close out the season with a final record of 12-18.
