Girls Cross Country: Warriors Place 8th at Galesburg Invite

The SHS Girls Cross Country team placed 8th at the 11 team Galesburg Silver Streak Invitational Saturday.

The top 30 individuals on the varsity and frosh-soph levels received medals. Junior Stephanie Echebarria was Sterling’s top varsity finisher, in 30th place in a time of 21:50.80.

On the frosh-soph level, Sterling placed 5 th with Liz Welch (17th; 24:49) and Alayna Wolfe (18th; 25:13 earning medals)

The Golden Warriors run against Dixon and LaSalle-Peru Tuesday (9/8) at Lowell Park in Dixon.
