Football: Loos Named All-State for Second Straight Season Sterling senior offensive lineman Tyler Loos has been named to the Illinois Football Coaches Association Class-5A All-State team for the second consecutive season. Loos, a three-year starter, anchored an offensive line that helped Sterling average over 275 yards rushing this past season. He remains undecided on his college choice, but has already received scholarship offers from Northern Illinois, Western Michigan and Wyoming among others. It’s the fifth time Sterling has had a player named all-state in Greg King’s eight years as head coach, joining Kevin Megli (2002), Graham Hall (2005) and Joe Schneiderbauer (2006). Loos and his fellow 5A all state members will be honored before the state championship game Saturday, November 28 at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. |
