Boys Cross Country: Warriors Host 60th Annual Sterling Invitational Complete Varsity Results The SHS Boys Cross Country Team hosted the 60th Annual Sterling Invitational Saturday – the longest running cross country event in the state. Over 30 teams and nearly 500 runners took part in the boys varsity, frosh-soph and open races. Fenwick claimed the varsity team title with 71 points. Minooka was second with 103. Sterling did not field a full varsity team, but junior Jacob Landis has a solid race as an individual, finishing in 16:31, which was the 32nd best varsity time turned in out of 191 runners. On the frosh-soph level, Sterling placed 16th out of 23 teams. Next Up: The Golden Warriors host the NCIC meet Saturday (10/17) at Hoover Park. Action begins at 10:00 a.m. |
