The SHS Boys Cross Country placed 31st out of 40 teams in the class 2A division at the Woodruff Invitational, held Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria - the site of the state Cross Country meet.

Sterling's top runner was junior Jacob Landis, who placed 52nd in the 276 runner field with a time of 16:24.56.
