Girls Swimming: Warriors Edge Rockford-Boylan

The SHS Girls Swimming and Diving team knocked off Rockford Boylan 95-91 at the Duis Center in Sterling Tuesday.

Juniors Allie Yemm and Sophie Borer had big nights for Sterling.

Borer won both the 500 freestyle (5:37.62) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.53). Borer’s time in the 500 freestyle was a lifetime best.

Borer teamed up with Rachel Lathe, Yemm and Ann Wolber on Sterling’s victorious 200 medley relay team, which clocked in with a season best time of 1:56.41

Yemm also won a pair of individual events as the junior claimed the 200 individual medley in a lifetime best time of 2:19.83 and she tied with Lathe for first in the 100 breaststroke. They both touched the wall in 1:11.49.

Wolber won the 200 freestyle (2:01.50) and anchored Sterling’s winning 400 freestyle relay team (3:48.14) that included Yemm, Allie Carbaugh and Hannah Munson.
