Girls Cross Country:  Warriors Cruise at Ottawa

The SHS Girls Cross Country team had eight runners record season best times in winning a quadrangular at Buffalo Run State Park in Ottawa Tuesday.  The Warriors gobbled up the first four places and recorded 38 points.  Ottawa was a distant second with 77, Ottawa-Marquette was third with 81 and LaSalle-Peru fourth with 129.

The Warriors’ Carrie McPherson was first overall in a time of 21:21 with teammates Mary Rose Dukelow (21:29), Carissa Apperson (21:45) and Kaylen Palmer (21:46) right behind her.

Sterling runners getting personal best for the season were:
Mary Rose Dukelow, Kaylen Palmer, Gwen Sword, Tori Salazar, Ann Say, Emma Haak, Molly Kunde and Liz Welch.
