Girls Cross Country: Apperson Advances to Sectional

Sophomore Carissa Apperson is the lone SHS Girls Cross Country runner to earn a spot in next weeks Belvidere Class-2A Sectional. Competing at the Rock Falls Regional on Saturday (10/20), Apperson finished in 19th place overall in a time of 20:15.

As a team, Sterling finished in seventh place overall with a score of 135. The top five teams qualified for the sectional.
