Girls Cross Country Second at Twin City Meet

The SHS Girls Cross Country team finished second to state ranked Rock Falls at the annual Twin City Meet, held at Hoover Park in Sterling on Tuesday (9/11.)

The Golden Warriors ended up with 41 points.  Rock Falls took top honors with 17.  Newman was third with 74.

Carissa Apperson (4th, 20:42), Kathryn Gehrke (9th, 21:30) and Ceara Campos (10th, 21:37) all recorded top 10 finishes for the Warriors.

Rock Falls’ Jamie Russell took medalist honors in a time of 19:47.
