Cross Country: Girls and Boys Both Finish Third at NCIC-Reagan Meet

The SHS Girls and Boys Cross Country teams both placed third at the NCIC-Reagan Championship meet held Saturday (10/13) in Spring Valley.

On the girls side, Sterling tallied 60 points. Geneseo took first with 33 and Dixon second with 40. Sterling’s top runner was sophomore Carissa Apperson who took sixth in a time of 20:11.

On the boys side, Sterling tallied 85 points. Dixon took the conference title with 29 and Geneseo was second with 63. Freshman Jacob Landis turned in Sterling’s top time of 16:50 – good enough for eighth place.
