Boys Cross Country Third at Twin City Meet

In a tightly contested team competition, the SHS Boys Cross Country team placed third at the annual Twin City Meet held at Hoover Park in Sterling on Tuesday (9/11.)

Rock Falls took first place with 37 points, with Newman four points back and Sterling five points off the pace.

Jacob Landis (5th, 17:41), Ben Schott (6th, 17:53), Andrew McCormick (8th, 18:34) and Tom Say (9th, 18:41) all recorded top 10 finishes for Sterling.

Newman’s Jake Trancoso was the medalist in a time of 16:55.
