Girls Cross Country Wins NCIC-Reagan Championship The SHS Girls Cross Country team won yet another conference title on October 14, capturing the first-ever NCIC-Reagan championship. Sterling tallied 37 points, which was four better than runner-up Geneseo. Sterling’s Devon Carbaugh won the individual conference title, covering the three-mile course at Sauk Valley Community College in 19:09, nearly a full minute ahead of second place Abby Parsons of LaSalle (Peru). Jackie Sciacero (20:37) and Ashley Keenan (20:46) also earned all-conference accolades with seventh and tenth place finishes respectively. Sterling also won the frosh-soph conference championship. Sterling competes at the Galesburg Class-AA Regional on October 21.
