Boys Cross County Third at NCIC-Reagan Meet

The SHS Boys Cross Country team battled its way to a third place finish at the NCIC Reagan Division Meet, held October 14 at Sauk Valley Community College.

Sterling ended up with 63 points. Geneseo took the conference championship with 32. Dixon was second with 60.

Sterling’s top finishers were Drew Rowe (16:45) and Sam Megli (16:59) in sixth and tenth place respectively. Geneseo’s Dan Chenowith was the champion in a time of 15:06.

Sterling next competes at the Galesburg Class-AA Regional on October 21.
