Girls & Boys Cross Country Run Tough in Spring Valley

The SHS Girls and Boys Cross Country teams raced to easy quadrangular victories over Hall, Ottawa and Seneca in Spring Valley on October 3.

On the girls side, senior Devon Carbaugh (21:26) and freshman Carissa Apperson (21:38) went 1-2 over the three-mile course. Tasha Romano (22:03) , Jaclyn Sciacero (22:06) and Kathryn Gehrke (22:26) occupied places 4-6 respectively as Sterling scored a near perfect score of 18.

The boys also had an easy time of it, scoring just 21 points – 50 less than second place Ottawa. Drew Rowe (17:04), Sam Megli (17:56), Jorden Pitkin (18:14) and Tim Noll (18:18) placed 2-5 for Sterling.
