Girls & Boys Cross Country Sweep at LP

On a windy and cold afternoon in Peru, the SHS Girls and Boys Cross County teams cruised to easy wins on September 19.

The girls had five of the top seven finishers to tally 21 points. Ottawa was second with 49 and LaSalle (Peru) third with 64.

Senior Devon Carbaugh took first place in a time of 20:20, with freshman Carissa Apperson coming in third at 20:37.

It was much closer for the boys, as they tallied 35 points to nip second place Ottawa (Marquette) by four. Ottawa was third with 63 and Ottawa fourth with 98.

Once again it was senior Drew Rowe pacing the Warrior effort, finishing first overall in a time of 16:22.
