Girls and Boys Cross Country win Princeton Invite

The SHS Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams were both crowned champions of the Princeton Invitational on September 9.

On the girls side, Sterling received a fifth place overall effort from Devon Carbaugh (20:14) and a tenth place effort from Carissa Apperson (20:54) and managed to hold off second place Rock Falls 59-61.

For the boys, Sterling showed great depth with six runners placing in the top 30. The Warriors ended up with 86 points, 15 less than second place Dxon. Drew Rowe was Sterling’s top finisher in ninth place overall (16:30.)
